About Us

Our director Lauren has been a professional translator and interpreter since 2008.

After working on a major project with a property developer in France she developed a keen interest in legal translation and went on to complete the Chartered Institute of Linguists' DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting) in law, which opened the door to assignments with the UK Border Agency, police and courts.  She has been working with one of her main clients, an immigration law firm based in Manchester since 2009.  Lauren also works for the Manchester mental health interpreter service, both in the community and hospitals.

We also provide services to corporate clients in a variety of contexts, such as business meetings and site visits. We have worked with high-profile athletes and their families in a range of settings, including television shoots, home visits, meetings with solicitors and medical appointments.

Give Me Your Word Ltd follows the ITI Code of Professional Conduct which demands strict adherence to principles of integrity, competence and client confidentiality.  We have professional indemnity insurance and hold a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate and a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC).
