I’m Lauren Shadi, an award-winning French translator and interpreter based in Manchester.
I work with businesses, individuals and public sector organisations throughout the UK and worldwide.
I’m qualified and certified by all the major UK bodies that govern the industry, and specialise in legal, commercial, education and audiovisual sectors.

Can you help me with documents required by the French Consulate?
Yes, I can prepare documents required by the French Consulate for nationality applications. I can also communicate with the French authorities on your behalf as required.
My project is unique, do you have experience in my sector?
I've been working as a language professional since 2008 and have supported a variety of projects. From business meetings and site visits, television shoots, high-profile cases, legal settings and medical appointments.
With my wide range of experience, I can quickly understand and adapt to new challenges. And rest assured, I will thoroughly research your sector and any industry-specific knowledge necessary to provide you with the best support.
What experience do you have in the legal sector?
Following a major project with a property developer in France, my interest in legal translation grew. I completed a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting in law, which led to assignments with the UK Border Agency, police, and courts. I've also been working with one of my main clients, an immigration law firm based in Manchester, since 2009.
What experience do you have in the medical sector?
I work regularly within the medical sector, including for the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. I've been providing my services for them for over 10 years both within the community and in hospitals.
Do you translate into French?
As a professional translator, I only translate into my native language which is English. However, I work with a network of experienced translators in France and can arrange English to French sworn translations for you.
